Kaavyashri Anbumani

Kaavya earned her Bachelor of Technology in Industrial Biotechnology from ANNA University in Chennai, India. She earned her Masters degree in the Biomedical Engineering Graduate Program at Rutgers University under Dr. Firestein's supervision. Her thesis focused on the creation of biomaterials to deliver uric acid locally after a spinal cord injury. Kaavya is now a PhD student in the Nutritional Sciences Graduate Program at UK. Kaavya's dissertation work focuses on the use of noninvasive strategies to promote recovery after traumatic brain injury.
